Our Mission:

Through client-focused and client-centered collaboration, The Well Being encourages and empowers individuals and companies to prioritize health and health behaviors by using evidence-based approaches to produce real and sustainable change.

About Melissa:

As a health coach, Melissa works with individuals and groups to help them improve the quality of their lives. Through the coaching program, clients set nutrition, physical activity, and positive self-care goals that will generate positive health outcomes and simultaneously reduce the risk of developing more serious chronic diseases.

For nearly two decades, Melissa worked as a public health professional, focusing primarily on cancer research and childhood obesity. She spent five years providing health and wellness education to children and their families and developed numerous community outreach programs to improve access to and understanding of health and wellness information. She strongly ascribes to the mentality of prioritizing prevention and the development of healthy habits to attain to true wellness. Melissa recognizes the tendency in our culture to treat illness and disease in lieu of preventing it in the first place and passionately aims to help others understand the power they possess to elevate their own WELL-BEING.

  • Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)

  • Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC)

What People Are Saying

“I was hesitant at first because, as an introvert, groups are sometimes very difficult for me. Melissa set the tone early on for a true "No judgment zone" and it was very well respected. By our 3rd meeting, the group had the feel of a safe place for each of us to be ourselves and help each other grow.”

— Jo, Project Coordinator

“I am positive that you will inspire others like me and turn them down the same road to health that I have discovered. Thank you so much for all that you have done for me and all that you have yet to do for so many others.”

— Angela, Accounting Assistant

“I thoroughly enjoyed this group. We got to talk about health and wellness, but we also were able to touch on some personal things, which I believe made our group a little closer. I feel like I am more aware of my food/nutrition choices since being a part of this group.”

— Cate, Accounts Payable

My motto is simple: Eat well to feel well. Feel well to live well. Health is not just the absence of disease; rather, it's living life to its fullest as a Well Being.
